LNER Project Management Conference
With Graham Norris
Kathryn,
Thanks for taking the time to talk with me about the conference you are planning for your project management colleagues on 15th July in York. It sounds like it's going to be a great opportunity for your colleagues to connect and energise.

Below you'll find a description for the session I think will work best for your event, helping transform the way your colleagues think about collaboration and giving them actionable techniques to work more harmoniously on complex projects.

You'll also find an overview of the kind of experiences I've been creating for my clients, and a quote.

If you would like to get on a call to discuss any further details, I'd be happy to set that up.

Thanks again!
Graham

Session Description
Teamwork and Collaboration
Creating a Shared Vision
Companies need to organise into teams to get things done, but this also creates the silos that destroy the magic of cooperation. Competition, conflict and poor coordination can consume senior leadership resources and snuff out the spark of ingenuity that drives a company forward.

What if your colleagues could more easily see the bigger picture and the benefits of working together?

In this highly interactive session, Graham helps your colleagues create compelling visions that motivate collective action. Through hands-on exercises, your colleagues will learn the technique of collaborative imagination and how to apply it across a range of situations.

Founded in psychological research and brought to life with stories and practical examples, this technique can transform the way people think about their goals, and is particularly effective for projects with well-defined outcomes.

After an initial speech introducing the technique, the body of the session will be applying it to the real-life challenges your colleagues face.
By the end, your colleagues will:
-
more easily find common ground with each other
-
be more effective collaborators
-
be laser focused on outcomes
-
increase their influence

PROMOTION & PREPARATION
I'm committed to shifting mindsets, which means I'm more than happy to do whatever I can to help get your employees excited and prepared for the event. Whether it's a video or a podcast interview, I want to help get them thinking before they arrive.

For most events I provide any or all of the following:
-
Event promotional video
-
Interview for blog posts or podcasts
A great keynote requires thoughtful preparation. That means truly understanding your audience and customising the presentation to ensure the message hits home.

Before any event Graham does the following:
-
Researches your organisation and sector
-
Customises the presentation

DURING THE EVENT
Unlike many speakers, I prefer to stay the full day (when possible.) Why? Because I know that when attendees have the chance to interact with your keynote speakers they're able to get their questions answered and take more away from the event.

I'm open to almost anything. What can I do to help you make this event memorable? Let's brainstorm.

AFTER THE EVENT
For an event organiser, I know how exhausting running an event can be. That's why I want to ensure you're armed with the necessary assets to make all your event follow-up easy, fun, and memorable.

Within one day of the event's end, I'll provide any of the following:
-
A link to the presentation deck to share with every attendee.
-
A short reminder video to keep people focused and inspired when they get back to the office.
