Graham Norris Featured on LACE Partners' "HR on the Offensive Live Stream" to Discuss the Futurist Mindset

Organizational psychologist and TEDx speaker Graham Norris appeared as a featured guest on LACE Partners' HR on the Offensive live stream, joining host Chris Howard for a conversation on the "futurist mindset" and its growing importance for skills-based organizations.

The discussion, which built on a previous podcast appearance, explored how organisations can move beyond traditional workforce planning models and instead develop teams capable of thinking strategically about future skills needs.

Graham argued that since all decisions are fundamentally about the future, individuals and organizations that invest in future-focused thinking are better positioned to make higher-quality decisions at every level.

During the session, Graham outlined three core skills he believes are essential to cultivating a futurist mindset: curiosity, imagination, and experimentation. He also discussed how HR professionals and hiring managers can identify these traits in prospective talent. He also highlighted the importance of remaining open-minded and non-dogmatic when thinking about the future, noting that one of the most common mistakes is failing to consider futures that feel uncomfortable or unlikely.
